CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

Pyrophyllite mining of Parsovići
According to its chemical composition, the pyrophilic is an alumosilicate of the formula: Al2O34SiO2H2O. The end is a member of an isomorphic series of alumosilicates containing bound water.

Hydroxyl groups OH are bound to the inner layer of a three-layer crystal lattice, which makes pyrophilite poorly reactive.

In water it is insoluble and does not swell. Mohs Hardness is 1-1.5.

The parsley pyrophyllite shaft “Parsovići” features a uniform chemical and mineralogical composition for UPS (white) and LP (purple):
