Depending on the granulation, the content of the individual components and the degree of whiteness of the pyrophilic is applied in various industrial branches

In the past exploitation at Parsovici, the finished product was used in the following branches of industry:

Paper industry

Pirofilit is very convenient as a filler in the paper industry because it improves the printing properties of the paper, it has good cover power, increases the opacity of the paper, its retention is higher than that of kaolin. It is well tolerated with optical whiteness. For the paper industry, white pyrophilic micronized under 33 microns was delivered. The highest percentage of fine fractions ranges from 0-5 microns (about 60%).

Plant protection industry

Due to its outstanding properties as the carrier of the active substance pyrophilic has proven to be an indispensable raw material in the production of plant protection products. It behaves neutrally and does not cause decomposition of the active substance. It has a high degree of relative value for the susceptibility to vegetation, good boobness, and good biological activity.

Plastic industry

It is used especially in masses of vital resins and its copolymers, thanks to its structure, size of particles and other properties. Due to poor reactivity and water-impermeability in water, it is more suitable than other natural fillers, such as talc, kaolin, chalk, etc. Similar properties and advantages also show in other plastic masses

Bitumen industry

Pirofilit is used as a filler in the bitumen mass, where it has proven to be a good reinforcement of the mass, forms a net, and prolongs the age of aging.

Ceramic industry

Pirofilit due to a number of properties participates in the ceramic mass as either a basic component, or only with a certain proportion. Due to the color of the ignition that is 1100oC white and above 1100oC, it reduces the consumption of glaze. When ignition does not change the volume, it is constant according to linear expansion, which affects the reduction of dimension scattering. Disables glue cracking (haris). It reduces the porosity of the product and the wear of the press tools.

Paints and varnishes industry

Whiteness, particle size, high cover power, oil absorption capacity and acid solubility are the main criteria for the selection of pyrophyllite as fillers for the production of paints and varnishes.
